Fiber Optic Component Assembly/Processing Machine

Here are a few pages, video and animations that show an interesting assembly process that we were contracted to design and build. Two identical machines were built and delivered in less than a year. We subcontracted and managed the software development and electrical panel wiring.
This machine strips, cleaves, cleans and inserts fibers into oriented, glued tubes, both single and double bore, and heat cures them before presenting the assembly to the operator.

Fiber Pallets

These Fiber Pallets are configured for single bore product on side one, and double bore for side two. The custom fiber coil carriers are made of identical halves that snap together.
- 26 Pallets used per machine.
- 6 Pallets used on 2 off-line loaders.
